The budget battle in Washington (and around the USA, Great Britain, etc.) is heating up. Faced with ballooning deficits caused largely by the Bush tax cuts and the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, House Republicans want to cut programs for poor children, slash the education budget and delay Social Security benefits.

Yet many major US corportions pay ZERO corporate income taxes. Despite raking in tens of billions of dollars in profits, Exxon Mobil, General Electric, Bank of America, Chevron, Boeing and others paid no corporate income taxes. In many cases, they received billions in subsidies from the government.

Here’s a quick list of 10 that are paying less than a part-time minimum wage McDonalds employee. I guess that McDonalds worker needs a better lobbyist.
